Terms & Conditions – Product Purchases & Retreat Experiences
Our Philosophy
Health Journey Through Food is rooted in the belief that wellness begins with thoughtfully sourced, traditionally produced foods and meaningful education. We partner with small producers—many based in Italy—who prioritize integrity, minimal processing, and time-honored practices.
These standards guide how we source, handle, and deliver both our products and experiences.
Product Purchases
All Food Sales Are Final
Due to the perishable and consumable nature of our products, all food purchases are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges once an order has been shipped.
This policy is in place to protect the safety, quality, and integrity of the products we provide.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, you must notify us within three (3) days of confirmed delivery by contacting orders@healthjourneythroughfood.org.
To process your request, we may require supporting documentation, including photographs of the product and packaging. Upon verification, we will determine an appropriate remedy, which may include a replacement, store credit, or refund, issued at our sole discretion.
Shipping, Risk of Loss, and Delivery
All orders are carefully packaged to preserve quality during transit. Risk of loss and title for products pass to the customer upon delivery to the carrier.
We are not responsible for:

Carrier delays or delivery errors

Weather-related impacts during transit

Packages left unattended after delivery

Incorrect shipping information provided by the customer
Customers are responsible for promptly retrieving and properly storing products upon delivery.
Imported Products, Customs, and Delays
Many of our products are sourced internationally, including from Italy. As such, orders may be subject to delays related to customs processing, inspections, or international shipping conditions that are outside of our control.
We are not responsible for delays caused by customs authorities or international carriers. Any applicable duties, taxes, or import fees are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated at checkout.
Product Condition & Environmental Sensitivity
Certain products may be sensitive to temperature, transit time, or storage conditions. While we take reasonable steps to protect product quality, we do not guarantee condition changes resulting from factors outside of our control once an order has shipped.
By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept these inherent risks.
Product Information & Customer Responsibility
We make reasonable efforts to ensure product descriptions, ingredient information, and sourcing details are accurate and up to date.
Customers are responsible for reviewing all product information prior to purchase, including ingredients and potential allergens. We are not liable for adverse reactions resulting from failure to review product details.
Health & Wellness Disclaimer
Our products and educational materials are intended to support a healthy lifestyle and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Nothing provided by Health Journey Through Food should be considered medical advice or a substitute for consultation with a qualified healthcare provider.
Retreat Experiences
Booking & Payment Terms
Retreat reservations are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Full or partial payment may be required to secure your reservation, as specified at the time of booking.
Cancellation Policy – No Refunds
All retreat payments are non-refundable. Due to the limited capacity of our retreats and the advance commitments required to secure accommodations, experiences, and partners, we are unable to offer refunds for any reason, including but not limited to personal conflicts, illness, travel delays, or other unforeseen circumstances.
We strongly recommend that participants purchase comprehensive travel insurance to protect their investment.
Changes & Transfers
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to determine whether a reservation may be transferred to another participant. Any approved transfers may be subject to administrative fees and must be requested in writing.
Modifications by Us
We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to retreat itineraries, accommodations, or programming due to availability, weather, safety considerations, or other factors beyond our control. Any such changes will be made with the intent to preserve the overall experience and value of the retreat.
General Terms
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Health Journey Through Food shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of our products, participation in our retreats, or reliance on our educational materials.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
